Christiane Arp (born May 11, 1961 in Stinstedt, Germany) is a German fashion editor.
Arp grew up on the countryside and went to Hamburg after graduating from high school. There she studied at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and graduated as a graduate fashion designer. During her studies, she did an internship at the knitting magazine Nicole and worked as a journalist.
She worked for magazines like Brigitte and Viva! . At Für Sie she headed the fashion department.
She went on to oversee the fashion and lifestyle sections at Stern and played a leading role as fashion director in developing Amica magazine.
In 2002, Angelica Blechschmidt brought her to the German Vogue (Vogue Deutsch) as deputy editor-in-chief and she was also fashion director.
She has been at the helm of Vogue Germany as editor-in-chief since March 2003 and has rejuvenated the brand’s relevance to international fashion.
