Sony Pictures Entertainment Deutschland GmbH is the home entertainment arm of Sony Pictures in Germany.

In 1983 Sony Pictures Home Entertainment GmbH (SPHE) - at that time known as RCA Columbia Pictures Video - is established in Germany. With numerous international branches, distribution partners in more than 60 countries and a catalog with over 4,000 titles, SPHE is one of the leading manufacturers, marketers and sales companies of DVDs, Blu-ray Discs and 4K UHDs worldwide.

In 1998, SPHE was the first major company to introduce DVDs to the German market. SPHE's extensive catalog includes film highlights, including Lawrence of Arabia, Gandhi, Men In Black, Django Unchained, Spider-Man, Ghostbusters, Hotel Transylvania, as well as the Smurfs franchise, Angry Birds, the Magnificent Seven, The DaVinci Code - Sacrilege, Illuminati, Inferno and many more.

In addition to movies and video premieres, TV products such as Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Outlander, Better Call Saul, The Blacklist, etc., and special interest topics (Inside Job, etc.) are an integral part of the program.
