General info :
Sail is a brand of tobacco with Dutch origins.
Originally produced and distributed by Koninklijke Theodorus Niemeyer BV, a Netherlands-based company now owned by British American Tobacco, Sail is made using a "century-old Dutch recipe". The brand and recipe were sold to Rothmans, itself now a subsidiary of British American Tobacco PLC.
The factory remained based in Groningen until it was closed in 2022.
