Markus Makkonen (born 1981) is a Finnish bassist, vocalist and writer. He's known from being a member of the following bands: Sadistik Forest (vocals, bass - since 2007), Farewell (vocals - since 1997), Nerve Saw (vocals/all instruments - since 2011), Mutilation Process (guitar, bass, vocals - since 2014), Infektor (bass - since 2014), Se, Josta Ei Puhuta (live bassist in 2012), Hooded Menace (bass, 2012-2016), and Entrail Tension Experiment.

Makkonen worked as a journalist for Miasma Magazine between 2010 and 2012, and is the author of Rotting Ways To Misery, which is a book about Finnish Death Metal.
