Angelica Blechschmidt (born in the 1940s in Dresden, Germany - died June 29, 2018 in Potsdam, Germany ) was a German art director and editor-in-chief of the German edition of Vogue magazine.

Angelica Blechschmidt was born during the Second World War. In the DDR, she followed an artist training. Blechschmidt fled before the Wall went up with her parents from the DDR to Hamburg. She studied at the Hamburger Meisterschule für Mode and got her first job as a graphic designer for 'Constanze' and 'Brigitte', two fashion magazines.
In 1980 she came to Vogue as a graphic designer. There she quickly became the art director and in 1989 she became the editor-in-chief.
Angelica was able to double the circulation to almost 140,000 copies during her tenure.
In 2002 she brought Christiane Arp in as her associate editor in Munich and was eventually replaced by her in 2003.
Angelica Blechschmidt moved to Potsdam after she left Vogue.
