Ville Friman (born 30 April 1980 Kristiinankaupunki, Finland) is a Finnish PhD and musician, known from being a guitarist and vocalist in the metal band Insomnium. In 2022 he started work as professor of microbiology at the University of Helsinki, after working 12 years in the UK.

In addition to Insomnium, Friman has played in the bands Arrival and Enter My Silence.
