General info :
Carla Mendini was an art broker and curator from Rome, Italy.
Together with Giorgio Manzardo she founded the art gallery 'Galleria Giulia' in Rome on March 5th 1971.
Over the years, there have been a series of excellent historical exhibitions dedicated, both to individual protagonists, and to groups and movements: George Grosz, Otto Dix, Wassily Kandinsky, the expressionists in general and with them Austrian art; and then again Oskar Kokoschka, Fratz Wotruba, Paul Flora, Alfred Kubin, Katje Kollwitz.
However, alongside the figurative, they also went for highly controversial exhibitions with names such as: Bruno Caruso, Carlos Mensa, Titina Maselli, Lorenzo Tornabuoni, Fernando Arroyo, Gloria Argelés, Pedro Cano and others.
