Jory Weitz is an American casting director and film producer.

Jory Weitz was the executive producer of Napoleon Dynamite, the runaway hit of the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. The film was also the winner of the Best Feature Award of 2004 U.S. Comedy Arts Festival and 2005 MTV Film Awards.

Prior to his producing career, Weitz was a casting director. He has worked with acclaimed directors such as Francis Ford Coppola (Dracula), Tim Burton (Edward Scissorhands), Stephen Frears (The Grifters), Ron Shelton (White Men Can’t Jump), Kevin Costner (Dances with Wolves), and Stephen Norrington (Blade).

In 2006, Weitz was the executive producer of a critically acclaimed documentary F*CK , a film about a word and its multitude of meanings made by THINKFilm . The film featured interviews with many social commentary figures such as Drew Carey, Bill Maher, Ice-T, Janeane Garafolo, Alanis Morrisette, Kevin Smith, Billy Conolly, and the late Hunter S. Thompson and many more.

In 2007, Weitz teamed up with Napoleon Dynamite’s director once again for the hit film, “Nacho Libre”, a Paramount film starring Jack Black.

Weitz produced and cast the social satire “Visioneers” directed by Jared Drake, and starring comedian Zach Galifianakis.?

Weitz produced the Jennifer Lynch thriller, "A Fall from Grace" starring Tim Roth, Vincent D' Onofrio, David Lynch and Willow Shields (Hunger Games). He is also producing the western, "Destino" starring Paul Giamatti (Sideways), Djimon Honsou (Gladiator), Garret Dillahunt (Raising Hope) and Jake Abel (Percy Jackson).

In addition, Weitz is also producing the character comedy “Mountainheart”, about the lives of down and out Appalachian people. The film is being directed by the Academy Award nominated production designer, Kristi Zea (“Revolutionary Road”) and is starring Ginnifer Goodwin (Once upon a time) and Miranda Richardson (Academy Award nominee for Best Actress for “Tom and Viv”).

He resides in the Greater Los Angeles Area.

Jory is an alumnus of the State University of New York at Binghamton where he earned his Bachelor's Degree.
