Carlo Camillo Amato Chiaramonte-Bordonaro (born in 1983 in Rome, Italy) is an entrepreneur.

With 50 years of professional experience, Baron Amato has been the president and founder of Old World International Enterprises since 1968. In addition to his primary roles, he served as the minister plenipotentiary at large for the Republic of San Marino from 1983 to 2000, and the editor-at-large at Conde Nast Publications in Italy and France from 1984 to 1991.
He found further success sitting on the Board of Directors at Gesfid International in Lugano, Switzerland as a financial advisor from 1984 to 1994 and director of foreign relations from 1984 to 1998. He was the founder and president of Old World Galleries in New York from 1977 to 1984. Additionally, he was certified by the Appraiser Association of America in 1978. From 1971 to 1981 Don Carlo was an assistant professor of biology at Georgia State University.

Don Carlo initially pursued an education at Mexico City University. He studied at several Universities throughout Spain. He also earned a Master's Degree of Navigation by the United States Coast Guard in 1994. He became involved in ecology shortly after so he could educate and help others. In 2018, he received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from the University of New Haven located in West Haven, Connecticut.

Don Carlo since 1975 has been a member of the Knickerbocker Club located in Manhattan, New York. He has also been recognized as an emeritus member of the International Explorer Club. Don Carlo is also a member of Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens, located in Miami, Florida. Outside of his primary endeavors, he wrote the book "The Wild Boar: History Husbandry the Hunt." Moreover, he served as editor for such magazines as "Arteguia International" in Spain. He considers the highlight of his career to be when he became an ambassador for the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes, and of Malta to the countries of St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines since 1983.

Throughout his career, Don Carlo has received awards and accolades for his achievements. He was recognized with a Certificate of Appreciation from the City of New York in 1977. Don Carlo was honored as Man of the Year by the World Institute for Scientific Humanism by Fordham University in New York in 1982. He has knighted in several countries for the protection of natural resources. He was the recipient of the Knight of Grace and Devotion from the Sacred Military Order of Malta in 2000, he was designated as a Knight Commander of St. Maurice and Lazarus by the Savoy Order in 1999, a Knight of Real Cuerpo de la Nobleza de Madrid by the Nobility of Castilla in 1998, and to the Order of the Trinity by the Imperial House of Ethiopia in 1997.

Moreover, Don Carlo has been featured in numerous publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, and Who's Who in the World.

Born in 1938 in Rome, Italy and the son of Baron Giuseppe Amato Chiaramonte Bordonaro and Countess Fernanda Giannini Paolini. In his early studies in Rome, he attended the school of St. Joseph ran by the brothers of the Christian schools of Saint Jean-Baptiste de La Salle. He attributes his success to his culture. Looking toward the future, he plans on continuing to learn and do as much good as he possibly can. In his free time, he enjoys collecting art, reading and learning how to protect the earth's natural resources, studying landscaping design as well as architecture. Don Carlo is fluent in five different languages. He continues to educate himself and participate in the art of gastronomy and enology. He shared an association with Chef Paul Bocuse known as the Chef of the Century having earned 3 Michelin Stars throughout his career. He has traveled all over the world expanding, educating himself and holding close friendships with members of royal families and leaders in different countries.

On September 19th, 2004, Baron Amato married Irela Fabiola Lopez Fonseca in the Catholic Church of San Giorgio in Velabro in Rome. Irela Fabiola Amato is an artist and textile designer who graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Don Carlo and Irela do not have any children.
