Pierre Claude Michel de Brunhoff (born February 6, 1892 in Paris, France - died May 14, 1958 in Paris (aged 66)) was a man of press and fashion.
He was the is editor in chief of the French edition of Vogue from 1929 to 1954.

Michel de Brunhoff is the son of Maurice de Brunhoff and Marguerite Meyer-Warnod, brother of Jacques and Jean de Brunhoff, creator of Babar, and thus the uncle of Thierry and Laurent de Brunhoff. He is also the brother of Yvonne Cosette de Brunhoff, married to Lucien Vogel, son of Hermann Vogel, who will become the first editor-in-chief of French Vogue at the creation of the magazine in 1920 and whose daughter will be Marie-Claude Vaillant-Couturier.

Michel de Brunhoff became editorial secretary of the journal Art & Décoration published by Émile Lévy, then founded with the latter and Lucien Vogel the Gazette du Bon Ton.
He gets married in 1923 to Marcelle Le Roy, their son is born soon after. He entered the newspaper Le Jardin des Modes, founded by his brother-in-law Lucien with the Baschet family, and when it gets sold to Condé Nast, he becomes Editor In Chef of the magazine, but leaves in 1933.
Meanwhile, Lucien Vogel and Michel de Brunhoff publish at the Éditions du Jardin des Modes the first comic 'Babar' of Jean de Brunhoff. Babar's publications will last four years, before being sold to Hachette. Four years before leaving the Jardin des Modes, he also took the post of editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris.
Publication of French Vogue stops at the beginning of the war in 1940 and as soon as France is liberated he would publish "Vogue Libération". He has published only four issues after the war, and the publication of Vogue would only resume regularly from 1947 on.
He remained for 25 years as editor of the French Vogue to finally be replaced by Edmonde Charles-Roux in 1954. He died four years later in Paris.
