General info :
Jean-Pierre Criqui is an art historian, critic, curator, and editor.
In 2016 he was named curator of contemporary art at the Centre Pompidou, in Paris, France.
He is a Pompidou veteran, having been editor-in-chief of the museum’s publication Les cahiers du Musée national d’art moderne for some 22 years. He also edited the MIT Press’s book ON&BY Christian Marclay, featuring essays by Wayne Koestenbaum, Rosalind Kraus, Zadie Smith and many others. He’s written essays on artists including Katharina Fritsch, Bernard Frize, Gabriel Orozco, Allen Ruppersberg, and Ken Price.

Before joining the Pompidou staff, Criqui served as advisor on contemporary art for the French Ministry of Culture.
