Odettte Gadoury is a Costume Designer based in Montreal, Canada.

Odette Gadoury began her design career with a Baccalaureate degree in Visual Arts and Art History from University of Québec in Montréal.

While attending further studies with the National Theater School of Canada, Odette had the opportunity for several European workshops in which she met and studied under the guidance of eminent creators such as Yannis Kokkos, Patrice Chéreau and Arianne Mnouchkine.

Upon completion of a comprehensive design education, Odette was then hired by renowned costume designer François Barbeau, assisting him with more than forty of his visually iconic theater productions.

In 1996 Odette made a transition to feature films when Brian De Palma commissioned her to design the costumes for “Snake’s Eye” starring Nicolas Cage. The following year Phillip Noyce entrusted her unique style and versatility with “The Bone Collector” starring Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie.

Several American film productions followed for Paramount Pictures, Universal Pictures, and Warner Brothers. Amongst them: “Secret Window” starring Johnny Depp, and two collaborations with director Paul McGuigan “Wicker Park” with Josh Hartnett and Diane Kruger and “Lucky Number Slevin” with Bruce Willis, Ben Kingsley and Morgan Freeman. For “The Spiderwick Chronicles” by director Mark Waters, Odette conceptualized and designed the entire film’s costumes with two-time Oscar nominee Joanna Johnston. During this exceptionally productive period she found time to costume several American independent films including ‘’Death Of A Ladies Man’’ with Gabriel Byrne, “Shut In” with Naomi Watts and “Deadfall” with Eric Bana and Sissi Spacek.

Additionally Odette worked with European auteurs and fellow Québécois filmmakers. For director Julien Leclerc she did “Gibraltar” starring Gilles Lelouche and Tahar Rahim, and “Rabid Dog” directed by Éric Hannezo. Amongst the Québec directors, she's collaborated with Christian Duguay, Yves Simoneau and Alexis Durand Brault.

More recently Odette completed work on the television series, ‘’Blood and Treasure’’ for CBS' streaming service and ‘’The Truth About The Harry Quebert Affair’’ with Patrick Dempsey directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud.
