General info :
Hiromasa Sasaki is a photographer.
After studying photography at FIT in New York, he assisted various photographers such as Denis Piel, Lothar Shmid and Steven Meisel and made his debut on French ELLE in 1988.
Since then, HIROMASA has been working as a fashion/beauty photographer mainly based in NY and Paris.
In the 1990’s, he had exclusive contracts with GLAMOUR magazine at US Condé Nast as well as with British Marie Claire to shoot covers.
After 2000, he widened objects to shoot architecture and environmental nature.
His reportages on architecture were featured in media such as Italian Casa Vogue and he collaborates with Akutagawa prize writer, Keichiro Hirano for the architectural issue of “Public Space” from x-knowledge as a creative director and photographer in Japan.
Portraits have been one of his main interests recently, and with the project named “Elegant People”, HIROMASA photographs Japanese people who have truly global perspectives in the period of reconstruction from Fukushima disaster 2011.
Tokyo Punk is another example of such attempt and he collaborated with the world-renowed hair stylist, Katsuya Kamo. The work became a part of the Punk movement as a conceptual inspiration for “PUNK EXPO 2013” at Metropolitan museum in NY.

Recently, he has started his editorial work at Vogue, GQ and L’Officiel Japon for the celebrity mode in Tokyo.
