Martyn Thompson (born in England) is a New York based photographer.

Martyn was born in England but grew up in Sydney, Australia. He graduated from school in 1982 and moved to New York City.

His classic, elegant yet organic approach to photography has kept him a mainstay among fashion and luxury clients for the past 20 years.
His on-going photography practice has secured him a place in many of the well known brand campaigns such as Tiffany, Jo Malone, and the Ralph Lauren to name a few.
Martyn Thompson’s editorial clients include Vanity Fair, Men's Vogue, British Vogue, W Magazine, House & Garden, Gourmet, Travel + Leisure, City Magazine, and The New York Times Magazine, among others.
Over the past decade Martyn has extended his aesthetic into the world of design. He founded MARTYN THOMPSON STUDIO, a multidisciplinary outfit that has evolved to include textile and wallpaper design, home wares, limited edition art, and works with a number of brands as a designer and creative consultant, giving direction on the areas that help shape and define a visual identity: color, mood, tactility and composition. working across photography, textile and wallpaper design, editioned art and publishing.
