General info :
Terry Jones (born 2 September 1945 in Northampton, England) is a British graphic designer, art director, photographer, book- and magazine-editor.
He is best known as co-founder of the British, street-style magazine i-D, a magazine with focus in fashion, art and music founded in 1980.
Terry Jones began his career in fashion at the age of 27, as the art director of British Vogue in 1977, before he and Tricia co-founded i-D three years later.
Pioneering the 'straight-up' street-style portrait, the magazine presented an alternative, grass-roots view of fashion, which contrasted greatly with the rarified glamour of mainstream fashion at the time. The winking cover star, from Madonna in 1984 to Cara Delevingne on the latest issue, has since become a cheeky trademark.
Terry Jones sold the magazine to the the Vice group in 2012.
In 2013 at the British Fashion Awards Terry and Tricia Jones were honoured with the "Outstanding Achievement Award" for their work on i-D.
Jones was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2017 New Year Honours for services to fashion and popular culture.
