General info :
Paula Mateus was the editor in chief of Vogue Portugal since the launch of the magazine in 2002 till 2017.

She started he career as as a kindergarten teacher and worked for 8 years in this area, but was ambitious for other things and prepared herself by taking courses in marketing and publicity, and languages, until she could change direction. Thus her first job with magazines was at Élan where, having started as Ana Maria Lucas’s fashion assistant, she later became the fashion editor. I
Paula was then invited to work at Máxima, starting as a fashion assistant with Assunção Avillez for 8 years, then moving to the fashion publishing house for another 6 years, until she was invited to be the director of Vogue Portugal, where she served for 15 years, since its launch in 2002 till 2017.
