Filmax Entertainment is one of the main independent Spanish groups providing audiovisual content. Organised in three areas (production, distribution and industrial), the FILMAX Group responds fully to the business opportunities of the European and international markets in the entertainment sector.
It provides audiovisual content for feature films, series, documentaries, and TV movies.
The company also markets the rights of exploitation of audiovisual works to specialized local dealers. In addition, Castelao Pictures S.L. operates multiplexes. Further, the company offers production and post production services; and digital post-production service of authoring of DVD and Blue Ray. Castelao Pictures S.L. was founded in 1953 and is based in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Spain with additional offices in Barcelona and Madrid.
It produced the REC horror series, and owns the Nirvana Films and New World Films International distributors and the Fantastic Factory label, dedicated to create fantasy films in the horror, science fiction and action genres.
