Sophie L. Lauwers (born in 1966, Halle, Belgium) was appointed as Director-General of Bozar in 2021.

Bozar (a homophone of Beaux-arts) is The Centre for Fine Arts (French: Palais des Beaux-Arts, Dutch: Paleis voor Schone Kunsten), a multi-purpose cultural venue in Brussels, Belgium.

She has been Director of Exhibitions at Bozar since 2011, and was previously exhibition coordinator since 2002.
With her exhibition policy she always looks for synergies between classical and contemporary art, but also between the visual arts and other disciplines.
She is an alumna from Vrije Universiteit Brussel where she graduated in 1993 with a degree in History.
Sophie Lauwers resides in Brussels Metropolitan Area.
