General info :	Gummerus Kustannus Oy is a Finnish book publishing company. Its founder Karl Jacob Gummerus (or Kaarle Jaakko Gummerus in Finnish) self-published his novel 'Ylhäiset Ja Alhaiset' already in 1870, but officially the activities of K. J. Gummerus Oy as a company and publishing house started in 1872 in Jyväskylä. The publishing house was made a joint stock company in 1906. Gummerus Kustannus Oy is a part of a larger media group Gummerus Oy, which consists of: - Gummerus Kustannus Oy (book publishing) - Kielikone Oy (translation and dictionary software) - Kirjatori Oy (book shops) - Gummerus Kiinteistöt Oy (real estates)
