Danny Bramson is a Grammy Award-winning music producer.
In 2002 Danny Bramson was named president of Warner Music Group Soundtracks where he oversees film music as well as soundtrack albums for the entire WMG family of record companies including Atlantic, Elektra, Maverick and Warner Bros. Records.
Bramson has overseen the development of soundtracks for WMG's Warner Bros. Records since 1996, having served most recently as the company's executive vice president, soundtrack development.

In 2001, Bramson produced and/or executive produced four soundtracks for Warner Bros. Records. Three of the four soundtracks, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Vanilla Sky, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, received Oscar nominations, with the latter winning for "Best Score." Bramson is currently working on the Maverick Records soundtrack to New Line Cinema's upcoming "Austin Powers" film as well as the Warner/Reprise soundtrack to New Line's The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers. Other major soundtrack releases from Warner Music Group this year include Lava/Atlantic Records' Scooby Doo and Warner Sunset/Nonesuch/Atlantic's soundtrack to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Bramson is renowned for his collaborations with leading filmmakers including Cameron Crowe, for whom he has produced the soundtrack to every one of the director's films. Over the years the two have partnered to produce some of the most critically acclaimed soundtracks ever released including Say Anything, Singles, Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous, for which Bramson was awarded a Grammy in 2000. For Crowe's most recent film Vanilla Sky, Bramson served as both soundtrack producer as well as the film's executive producer.

Since joining Warner Bros. Records in 1996 as senior vice president, soundtrack development, Bramson has been responsible for numerous gold and platinum-selling soundtracks for the label including: Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999, Platinum); Magnolia (1999, Gold); Practical Magic (1999, Gold); City Of Angels (1998, five-times Platinum); Batman & Robin (1997, Platinum); and Phenomenon (1996, Platinum). Bramson's soundtrack work for other labels includes Almost Famous (2000, Gold), Jerry Maguire (1996, Platinum), Nutty Professor (1996, Platinum) and Singles (1992, Platinum) among others.

Bramson began his career in the music industry as a teenager when he began promoting concerts on the back lot of Universal Studios. In 1975 he was named MCA executive director for Universal Amphitheatre, a post he held until 1984. During that time he established the Universal Amphitheatre as one of the premiere concert venues in the country. In 1979, he was promoted to senior vice president, MCA Concerts, Inc. Also that year he founded and served as president of Backstreet Records, the company that broke Tom Petty as an internationally-known recording artist, following the release of the double-platinum album Damn The Torpedoes. Other artists on Backstreet included Men Without Hats and Nils Lofgren.

With Backstreet, Bramson gained a reputation for his innovative approach to soundtracks by incorporating the work of contemporary musical artists into film scores. Examples of these groundbreaking soundtracks include Neil Young's score for Where The Buffalo Roam, the soundtrack to Cat People, featuring a collaboration between David Bowie and Giorgio Moroder, as well as the scores to Nighthawks by Keith Emerson and The Border featuring Ry Cooder. In addition, Bramson produced one of the first long form videos ever to air on MTV, the Cameron Crowe-directed, Heartbreakers' Beach Party.Bramson is a graduate of the UCLA School of Film and Television.
