Abigail Murray (born Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA) is a costume designer based in NY and LA.
Abigail was born in Philadelphia. The family moved from Atlanta to their 100-year-old former carriage house in Larchmont in 1980.

She has made her Off Broadway debut as a full-fledged costume designer with the play ''Be Happy for Me' in 1986.
Before that Abigail Murray served as assistant to such couturiers as Donald Brooks (in ''Dance a Little Closer,'' a Broadway musical flop) and has worked with the likes of Ann Roth (on the hits ''Peter Pan'' and ''The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas'').
She has worked as an ''in-house assistant designer'' for a costume company and, before that, for an interior design company in Atlanta.

She has designed for films, TV, and theater. Abigail’s work was celebrated in the Academy of Motion Pictures Publication “50 Designers, 50 Costumes,” representing 50 of the top Costume Designers working today.

Her film credits include costume designer for the feature films: The Next Three Days, Warrior, The Express, Pride and Glory, Runaway Jury, Masked and Anonymous, Impostor, Scream 3, Dogma, Kiss The Girls, For Richer Or Poorer, The Proprietor, Things To Do In Denver When You’re Dead, Tremors, Bloodhounds Of Broadway, and Airborne.

Her TV credits include costume designer for the television series: Seven Seconds, Show Me A Hero, The Americans, Life On Mars, and The Black Donellys.

Abigail Murray’s theater work includes opera and ballet, designing for numerous periods. She has designed for the Roundabout Theatre, La Mama, Playwrights Horizons, and Ensemble Studio Theatre.
