Charo Izquierdo is an independent advisor specialized in communication, fashion, sustainability, lifestyle and luxury brands.

She is part of the Advisory Council of Abadía Retuerta, as of the Barrous company.
Charo is Editorial Counselor of Menta Comunicación y Medios, a company that publishes the Grazia publication in Spain, Mexico and Latin America.
She founded her and runs her own consulting company, Charo Izquierdo Acción de Comunicación.

From 2019 to 2020 she acted as General Director of Iberian Press Magazines (Woman, Travel Iberian Press).

After the closure of GRAZIA in 2014 she became Catwalk director for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Madrid, a position she held till 2019.

In 2012 she left Yo Dona for GRAZIA, where she became Director since its launch. GRAZIA is an international magazine, belonging to the Mondadori group, licensed in Spain by Prisma Publicaciones, magazine division of Grupo Planeta. It is published in 23 countries and was launched in Spain in February 2013. It has been closed at the end of June 2014.

In 2004 Charo Izquierdo founded Yo Dona, a high-end supplement of a newspaper in Spain. She was its promoter and creator, as well as its website yodona.com and a television program Yo Dona Magazine, which was broadcast on Veo TV.

She put her first steps in online media in 2000 with Estarguapa.com, the former website of Telva magazine, and the first website of a women's medium in Spain. Years later it was renamed telva.com. For a long time it has been a reference for women's websites.
She left to launch Yo Dona in 2004, but it marked her future in the media.

In 1994 she was namde associate editor of Vogue at Condé Nast España, a position she held till 1999.
She had her first experience as director of a women's magazine at Spanish ELLE from 1991 to 1993.

Lecturer and teacher in various master's degrees, she is specialized in fashion, lifestyle and gender issues, she is the author of the novel Puta no soy , about the trafficking of women for sexual exploitation, and vice president of Save the Children Spain.

Charo has a degree in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid and a diploma in Good Governance Practices from the Institute of Directors and Administrators.
