General info :
Michael Baumgarten (born in 1971 in Germany) is a photographer.
After working for German-speaking theatres and studying performing arts, Baumgarten organized a Fotofestival in Frankfurt which including the award-winning book and show Alexandra S., From Autochrome to Ilfochrome. Baumgarten moved to Paris in 1993 in order to approach multimedia and still photography via assisting and autodidact studies.
Self-taught and curious and seduced by the ephemeral aspect of magazines, he collaborates with VOGUE, Worlds of Interiors, New-York Times and many others. At the same time, he broadened his work to luxury (Hermès, Giorgio Armani, etc.).

For the past 30 years he has invested in animation and digital creation of images that he deploys in galleries, the metaverse or public space.
