TF1 is the abbreviated business name of TELEVISION FRANCAISE 1 SA, a private national French TV channel, controlled by TF1 Group, whose major share-holder is Bouygues.
TF1's average market share of 24% makes it the most popular domestic network. It's also considered to be the most viewed television channel in Europe. Flagship series include CSI, The Voice and House M.D.

In addition, the Company's other activities include audiovisual and film production, acquisition and trading of audiovisual rights, movie distribution, sale of commercials, publishing of music compact discs (CDs), as well as management of a social media platform under the MinuteBuzz brand name.

The channel is part of the TF1 Group of mass media companies, which also includes the news channel LCI and a 49% stake in pan-European sports network Eurosport. Together with France Télévisions, TF1 co-managed the international French news channel France 24 but has since sold its share. TF1 had possessed the satellite-network TPS, which have been sold to the Canal+ Group.

The Company operates through numerous subsidiaries, including TF1 Publicité and Téléshopping, among others.
