Arista Records Ltd. was a British London based sound recording company, distributor and promoter active from 31 Dec 1979 to 01 Apr 1987.
It was related to Arista Records, Inc., the major American record company and wholly owned unit of Sony Music Entertainment.
It was founded as Imperial Winter Music Ltd. in August 1979 but soon changed its name to Arista Records Ltd.
In 1987 the company was renamed to BMG Arista Records Ltd. and in 2009 to Sony Music Entertainment Arista Records Ltd.
