General info :
Stéphane Gautronneau is a self-taught photographer & an adventurer.

He started his photography career as a fashion photographer in New York which evolved into traveling the world for many assignments capturing unique and pure landscapes. He works mostly in 4x5 large format with a focus on frame and scene lighting. He began his career assisting some of the most famous fashion photographers - Patrick Demarchelier, Justine Parson, David Sawyer and Riccardo Tinelli.

He regularly contributes to magazines such as Elle, Vogue, Paris Match, Madame Figaro, The New York Times, Vanity Fair US, Harpers Bazaar UK, Stern, Terres Sauvages. Stéphane also photographs many personalities like Zaha Hadid, Pharell Williams, Nicolas Hulot or Richard Branson.

In 2021 Stéphane is working on a 30 month long project where he is shooting a documentary capturing life in the Pyrenees mountains.

On the brand side, he collaborates with Nike, BMW, Benetti Yachts, Virgin or Necker Nymph, Richard Branson's submarine.

An ambassador for the BMW brand, he has opened up many shipping lanes and routes such as Perth-Sydney; Paris-Goa; Istanbul-Kathmandu; Buenos Aires-Atacama or even Paris-Vladivostok-Lisbon.

Stéphane has worked and lived in St Barths, NY, Paris and Berlin.
As of 2021 he lives in the Pyrenees, France, sheltered from the world.
