General info :
Benoît Peverelli (born in 1970 in Switzerland) is a Swiss photographer and cinematographer.
Passionate about photography from an early age, he began by attending a training at the School of Photography in Vevey, before working for the daily newspaper La Suisse in 1989. Two years later, he decided to go to New York. He works as a reporter for L'Hebdo, Le Nouveau Quotidien, or the George magazine, created by John Kennedy Jr. At the same time, Benoît Peverelli has created several portraits for the musical magazine Vibrations, made during his many travels in Africa, in North and South America.

The year 2002 marks his return to France. After the attacks of September 11, 2001, he was expelled from the United States as soon as he arrived from Brazil, mainly because of an expired work permit.

In Paris, Benoît Peverelli arrives as a beginner, without name nor address book. He worked tirelessly until the day when the artistic directors of Vogue Paris offered him to take some clichés in the manner of a paparazzi for the column of the journalist Miss Agnes.

His work then seduces the M / M duo ( Michael Amzalag and Mathias Augustyniak), who is in charge of the magazine's artistic direction and totally unaware of his past as a paparazzi. The chronicle does not go unnoticed and several brands, including Stiletto or DK, are seduced by this style of stolen photos. They then solicit him to take part in their new campaigns. His work is also noticed by Marc Jacobs, the artistic director of the French brand Louis Vuitton. His success puts him very quickly in front of the international scene.

Benoît Peverelli becomes a fashion photographer, a path that opens the doors to fame and freedom. Far from the press photography which, according to him, is more codified and more limited in terms of ethics and aesthetics, fashion photography offers him opportunities to express his creativity.

Passionate about the image, we also find Benoît Peverelli as cinematographer of his childhood friend Nicolas Wagnières , including "Hotel Jugoslavia".

He has been photographing backstage at Chanel since 2010, and in 2018 presented Chanel Final, a book presenting the best of his work for the house, depicting the beauty and secrets of the backstage world.
