Jean Pineau des Forêts (born in 1976, Paris France) is a French film producer based in Paris, France.
In 2007 he founded the film production company Petit Film SARL, located in Paris.
He produces and coproduces auteur-driven films, French or foreign, at all times working in close cooperation with distributors and sales agents.

Award winning productions include GRAVE (directed by Julia Ducournau) (Cannes 2016 Semaine de la Critique, Fipresci prize) and ALOYS (directed by Tobias Nölle) (Berlinale 2016 Panorama, Fipresci prize).

Jean des Forêts was named national coordinator of EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs), a professional training, project development and networking organization for audiovisual producers.
He also runs their Puentes workshop.

He is also a MEDIA / Creative Europe expert and a contributing member of the CNC (Centre National du Cinéma et de l'image animée), a French public administrative organization, set up as a separate and financially independent entity under the authority of the ministry of culture, active in the promotion of film and television for distribution to all audiences and preservation and development of the film heritage.
