General info :
Karin Swerink (born in 1969 in Winterswijk, Netherlands) is a Dutch fashion journalist.
She was named editor-in-chief of LINDA magazine in 2019.
Before that she was editor-in-chief of the Dutch edition of Vogue and of the fashion magazine Glamour, which she also founded.

Swerink graduated in 1991 from the Art Academy in Enschede. After a year of freelancing, she joined the editorial team of Yes magazine. There she made it to Head Of Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle.
In 1999 she switched to women's magazine Libelle. From 2002 to 2004 she was the deputy editor-in-chief. Then she got permission to publish the Dutch version of the magazine Glamour. The magazine was quickly successful and under her leadership the circulation grew to one hundred and sixty thousand copies. This immediately made Glamour the largest fashion magazine in the country.
Karin Sweerink was also a jury member for the Holland's Next Top Model program for three years.
Since May 2019 Swerink is the editor-in-chief of LINDA magazine.

Condé Nast Publications, the publisher of Vogue, the most influential fashion magazine worldwide, decided in 2011 that there should be a Dutch edition of the women's magazine and asked Swerink to lead the editorial team. The first edition was published in March 2012.
