General info :
Gray Frederickson is an American producer and production manager.
Gray has produced classics like the “Godfather” movies, “Apocalypse Now” and “The Outsiders,” and he lives in Oklahoma City.
Frederickson grew up in Oklahoma City and attended Casady High School. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a business degree, he attended the University of Lausanne, in Switzerland, before moving to Rome, Italy.
He remained in Italy for ten years producing movies. One of those movies was the classic “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” starring Clint Eastwood. It was on this production that he first met Albert S. Ruddy, with whom he would produce “Little Fauss and Big Halsy,” starring Robert Redford, upon returning to the United States.
Since Frederickson had lived in Italy and spoke Italian, he was able to bond with Coppola, leading to a 20-year working relationship.
Frederickson was now Vice President of Lorimar Pictures. Spielberg’s movie “1941” was shooting near his office, and he asked Frederickson to make a brief appearance in the movie, so he became an actor for a brief period too.
In 1999 Gray moved back to Oklahoma City, where Gray became the founder of and director of the film program at Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC), one of the best film schools in the country.
Over ten years later, Frederickson is still at OCCC, and he’s still receiving awards. In 2007, he won an Emmy for producing the documentary “Dream No Little Dream: The Life and Times of Robert S. Kerr.”
He is maried to Karen Mosier in 1989 and has two children named Kelsey and Tyler.
