Maciek Kobielski (born in 1972 in Warsaw, Poland) is a photographer.
He studied journalism in Warsaw and collaborated with the biggest political weekly, Polityka, where he started developing his documentary-style approach.
From Poland, Maciek moved to Paris and his involvement there with some of the most known publications became important when he moved to New York, where he now lives and works.
Maciek’s photographs are based on a very close connection with the subject. He is interested in portraying emotional exchange, giving the viewer a sense of approachability within the subject, and a feeling of involvement within an intimate situation.
Clients include WSJ, Vogue Poland, Vogue US, Elle Germany, The New York Times Magazine, just to name a few.
