Rachael Kathryn Combe (born 1971 or 1972) was an editor working for Elle magazine from 2000 till 2017, first as Managing Editor and the last ten years as Editor At Large, before starting a career as independent writer.
Prior to Elle she served as Features Editor for Glamour magazine from 1999 to 2000 and as Beauty and Fashion News Director for Mirabella magazine from 1997 to 1999.

She graduated from Columbia University in the City of New York, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature and she also received a master's in journalism.
In 2004 she married Orlando William Gorringe Knauss, an investment banker.
She resides in New York.
