Medusa Film is the business name of Medusa Film SpA, a company that offers film producing and distributing services for Italian and international movies.
The company was founded in 1995 and is based in Rome, Italy.
As of July 10, 2007, Medusa Film spa operates as a subsidiary of Mediaset SpA.

It was founded in 1964 by Felice Colaiacomo and Franco Poccioni as Medusa Distribuzione. In 1986, 49% of the company was acquired by Reteitalia of the Fininvest group.
Called simply Medusa, and part of the Cinema 5 group, it is then absorbed by Penta Film (founded around 1988 by Mario and Vittorio Cecchi Gori and Silvio Berlusconi).
Following the end of the collaboration with the Cecchi Gori group in the Penta Film, around 1994, Fininvest restores the historical Medusa Film brand.
Since July 2007 the president of Medusa is Carlo Rossella, former director of TG5. Bruno Ermolli previously held the same position.
