General info :	NEWS and N.E.W.S. are the business names used by NEWS PUBLISHING BVBA, a music distributor founded in 1994 and located in Ghent, Belgium. It are anagrams standing for North East West South. The company is headed by Jan Vanneste, Geert De Blaere and Stefaan Vandenberghe (a.k.a. T-Quest and Dr. Lektroluv) who had a popular show "Behind The Beat" at Radio SIS (Gent-Belgium) during the 90s. Geert was approached by the publisher BMG in 1993 with the request to give shape to a new company together with the owners of the former News Patrimonium company - Lieven Van den Broeck and Hessel Tieter. It became a joint venture between BMG, Lieven and Hessel. In 2000 he lead a management buy out and became share holder together with Stefaan and Jan. Stefaan has been in the company’s ranks every since the NEWS label came into existence between the crates of legendary Ghent record store Music Man in 1994 while Jan was one of the creative brains of the company.
