General info :
PlayStation 1 and 2 games display a Region Code on the artwork.

Region 2 is defined as: Europe, Middle East, Africa, India and Oceania.

This is the same region as The PAL Region (PAL being short for Phase Alternating Line), the television publication territory.

Region codes are a digital rights management technique designed to allow game distributors to control aspects of a release, including content, release date, and price, according to the region.
