General info :
One of the simplest, least expensive packaging forms for a disc is a polyethylene envelope.
This is both more durable and less abrasive than paper eneveloppes.
However, such packaging is rare for commercial releases due to its relative lack of protection compared with other designs, and is primarily limited to promotional, additional and demo discs.

It is also often used in software packages, where the box is labeled promotionally, but the disc comes in a paper sleeve (to cut costs).
