General info :
Carta Editorial Ltda was the first publisher of Vogue Brasil.

The first Brazilian edition of the magazine was published in May 1975. Published by the Carta Editorial group, its first editor was Luiz Carta who directed the publication from May 1975 until August 1986 when he left the publication to direct, at the invitation of Editora Conde Nast, the Spanish version of the magazine Vogue launched in 1988. In September 1986 After Luiz's departure, his son Andrea Carta took over the publication, being the longest-serving editor of the magazine for 17 years ahead of the publication from September 1986 until October 2003 when he died.
After the death of her brother, Patrícia Carta took over as chief editor from November 2003 until October 2010.

In November 2010, the Brazilian edition was controlled by Edições Globo Condé Nast SA after more than 35 years under the direction of Grupo Carta. The new publisher was the result of a joint venture of the North American group Condé Nast, owner of the Vogue brand, with the Brazilian group Globo.
The Brazilian publisher Globo holds 70% of the capital and the North American company the remaining 30%.
