Rosamund Mary Ellen Pike (born 27 January 1979, Hammersmith, London, U.K.) is an English actress.
Her first screen credit was in 1998 for the television film A Rather English Marriage and she came to attention when she was cast at age 21 as Bond girl Miranda Frost in Die Another Day (2002).
She won the BIFA Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2004 for The Libertine; and also received BIFA nominations for her performances as Helen in An Education (2009), and Lisa in Made in Dagenham (2010).
Other film appearances include Jane Bennet in Pride & Prejudice (2005), Fracture (2007), Barney's Version (2010), and Gone Girl (2014). Her performance as Amy Elliott-Dunne in Gone Girl was met with critical acclaim, for which she received numerous award nominations, including nominations for the Academy Award for Best Actress, the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Drama and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role.
On television, Pike played the role of Gudrun Brangwen in Women in Love in 2011. On stage she has performed in the West End in several productions, including Hitchcock Blonde in 2003, Summer and Smoke in 2006, Gas Light in 2007, and Hedda Gabler in 2010.
