General info :
Michael R. Hutchinson (born ca 1960 - died ca 2015) was a sound engineer and music producer.
He was first credited on Village People's Y.M.C.A. in 1978 and worked with artists like Madonna, Rick Springfield, ZZ Top, INXS, Cabaret Voltaire and Snap! just to name a few.
In 1982 he had just finished ‘Berlin’s Pleasure Victim’ as an assistant engineer and was living in Hollywood in an apartment full of musicians.
In 2000 he lived in the heart of Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley at John Heron’s recording studio, Rekordio. He worked at Rekordio often, playing drums and recording on the mixing board. Eventually he moved his home and studio into the garage apartment of Rekordio. He worked at CBS during the day.
Later on he owned a house in North Hills and built a recording studio on the first floor.
He was a boulder of a man with a kind face, nicknamed "The Big Bambino".
