Additionally, it engages in the sale of sports goods; fix and support of electronic components; and operation of golf shops and restaurants.
The company was founded in 1968 by Mr. Isao Tsukamoto and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

In 1981 Taxan USA Corp. was established in the USA and in 1985 TAXAN (EUROPE) LTD established in Bracknell, England. Many local subsidiaries would follow.
