Joseph "Joe" Libonati had a short stint as Executive Vice President, Global Communications at Condé Nast, as he left Condé nast in July 2021, only a couple of months after his assignment.
Libonati led media relations efforts for the magazine giant, which owns Vogue, Vanity Fair, GQ, Wired, and the New Yorker, until last year. In 2020, Condé hired Danielle Carrig from Vice as global chief communications officer, a newly created role. Since then Libonati reported to Carrig, who reports directly to CEO Roger Lynch.
After joining in 2019, Lynch made a flurry of other executive changes, including a new chief marketing officer and chief financial officer.
Prior to this position he served at Condé Nast since 2018 as Chief Communications Officer and Vice President, Corporate Communications since 2013.

Prior to Condé Nast Joseph Libonati acted as Senior Vice President at Rubenstein Communications from 2012 to 2013.

Before joining Rubenstein, he worked at Principal Communications Group’s New York team, where he managed clients such as Google, YouTube and Machinima as Managing Director at PCG East from 2011 to 2012.
Prior to PCG he served as Vice President, Corporate Communications at NBC Universal from 2004 to 2011, as Vice President at I/D Public Relations from 1999 to 2004 and as Publicist for PMK Public Relations from 1994 to 1999.
