François Lamy is a fashion photographer.
At the end of the 1960s, a small group of young photographers was formed, known as the " Paris Mob " or " Paris Mafia ", which included, Patrick DEMARCHELIER, François LAMY, Uli ROSE, Althur ELGORT, Alex CHATELAIN and Mike REINHARDT. They were in reaction against the decadence or borrowed seriousness of their contemporaries to support upbeat, informal and spontaneous fashion photographers like a snapshot.
He was very active in the 70s and 80s.
He was married to Ingmari Lamy (nee Johanssen, born 5 August 1947), a Swedish fashion model.
